Terms of Service

The rules for using EduFit: who it is for, how to behave in the club feed, and what this app is and is not qualified to tell you.

The short version

  • EduFit is for club members aged 13 and over.
  • Be decent in the club feed. Harassment, hate speech, sexual content, and spam get your content removed and can end your account.
  • What you write stays yours; you give us permission to display it inside the club.
  • This is not medical advice. Calorie and macro numbers are estimates. Talk to a doctor before you start a new training or eating programme, and stop if something feels wrong.

01The deal

EduFit is the companion app for your school's fitness club. It is built and run by Logan Jarrin for the club. These terms are the agreement between you and us about how you use it — on iPhone and on this website.

By signing in, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with something here, do not use the app, and email logan@getedufit.app to tell us why — it is a small club and we would rather fix it.

02Who can use it

  • You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 13, you cannot use EduFit, and we will delete any account we find that belongs to someone under 13.
  • You must be a member of your school's fitness club, or a coach or member of staff involved with it. This is not a public fitness app.
  • If you are under 18, make sure a parent or guardian knows you are using it. They can email us about your account at any time.
  • One account per person, and it is yours alone. Do not sign in as someone else and do not let anyone else use your account. Anyone who can read your email can get into your account, so keep your email secure.

When you leave the club, you can keep using the app or delete your account — your call. Coaches may remove accounts that are no longer connected to the club.

03Acceptable use

Do not do any of the following.

  • Break into, probe, overload, or interfere with the app, the backend, or anyone else's account.
  • Use an automated tool or a modified client to hammer the servers, scrape other members' data, or fake activity, points, streaks, or challenge results.
  • Impersonate another member, a coach, or the club, or set a display name designed to mislead.
  • Copy other members' personal information out of the app, or share it anywhere outside the club.
  • Use the app for anything commercial — advertising, selling supplements, recruiting for another service.
  • Use the app to break the law or your school's rules.

04Community guidelines

The club feed, comments, and challenges are shared spaces used by teenagers. The bar is simple: would you say it out loud in the gym in front of a coach?

Not allowed

  • Harassment and bullying. Targeting someone, piling on, insulting their body or their lifts, or repeatedly contacting someone who wants you to stop.
  • Hate speech. Slurs or attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Zero tolerance.
  • Sexual content. Explicit content of any kind, and anything sexual involving a minor — which will be reported to the authorities as well as removed.
  • Spam. Repeated posts, link-dumping, advertising, or promoting supplements and paid programmes.
  • Dangerous advice. Encouraging disordered eating, extreme cuts, performance-enhancing drugs, or training through a real injury.
  • Anything targeting a specific person — sharing their private information, their photos, or their weight or body data without their say-so.

How this is enforced

Three things run at once, and they are described accurately here because you should know what is checking your text:

  • An automatic filter. Every comment and every feed post is checked on the server for slurs and explicit language before it is saved. If it trips the filter, the post is rejected — it is never stored and nobody sees it.
  • Reporting. Any member can report a post, a comment, or another member. Reports go to a queue that club coaches review, and we aim to act within 24 hours.
  • Blocking. You can block another member. Their posts and comments disappear from your feed. You do not need a reason and they are not told.

What happens when you break the rules

Depending on how bad it is, and whether it has happened before, a coach may:

Remove the content
The post or comment is replaced with “[Removed by moderator]” and disappears from everyone's feed.
Warn you
A coach speaks to you directly.
Terminate your account
For serious or repeated violations. Your data is deleted the same way it is when you delete your own account.

If you think a coach got it wrong, email logan@getedufit.app. Someone will actually read it.

05Your content

What you write stays yours. Your comments, workout notes, custom foods, custom exercises, and workout templates belong to you. We do not claim ownership of any of it.

To actually show your content to the rest of the club, we need your permission. So by posting, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute that content inside EduFit — on the club feed, in comment threads, in the shared exercise and food library, and in shared workout templates. The licence is limited to running the app. We will not use your content in advertising, sell it, or publish it outside the club.

The licence ends when you delete the content or your account — with one honest exception. Where other members already depend on something you shared, it stays but is stripped of your name: posts become “[Former member]”, comments become “[deleted]”, and public workout templates and coach-approved custom exercises stay in the shared library with your attribution removed. This is set out in full in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for what you post. Only post things you have the right to post, and do not upload anything that belongs to someone else.

06Health and fitness disclaimer

  • Talk to a doctor before you start. Before beginning a new training programme or changing how you eat, get medical advice — especially if you have any health condition, an injury, an eating disorder or history of one, or you are pregnant.
  • Stop if you feel unwell. If you feel dizzy, faint, short of breath, or you are in pain, stop immediately and get help. Do not train through it because the app says you have a streak going.
  • The numbers are estimates. Calorie, protein, carb, and fat figures come from public databases — mainly USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts. Portion sizes are approximations. Your calorie and macro targets are calculated from formulas using the height, weight, age, sex, and activity level you typed in. They are a starting point, not a prescription, and they can be wrong for you.
  • Lessons and form cues are general education, not personal coaching. They cannot see your technique. Get a coach to watch you lift.
  • Streaks, points, and leaderboards are motivation, not targets to chase into the ground. Rest days are part of training. Nothing in this app is worth hurting yourself over.

You use EduFit, and you train, at your own risk. If you are under 18, that risk is your parent's or guardian's to understand too.

07Availability and changes

This is a club project, not a paid service with an uptime guarantee. The app may go down, lose sync, or change. We may add features, remove features, or take the whole thing offline. We will give the club reasonable notice before doing anything that would lose your data, and the export tool is always there.

EduFit is free. There is nothing to buy inside it and no subscription.

If we change these terms, we will update the Last updated date at the top of this page, and announce anything significant in the club feed. Carrying on using the app after a change means you accept the new version.

08No warranty

EduFit is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not promise that:

  • the app will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free;
  • nutrition data, calorie counts, or macro targets are accurate or suitable for you;
  • the content filter will catch everything, or that the club feed will always be free of things you would rather not see;
  • your data will never be lost.

Some places do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.

09Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of gains, or personal injury arising out of your use of EduFit — including injury or health effects from training, or from following nutrition information shown in the app.

Because the app is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim relating to it is limited to US$100.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, this section does not take away your statutory rights.

10Ending things

You can leave whenever you want

Stop using the app, or delete your account from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Export your data first if you want to keep it.

We can end your access

We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms or the community guidelines, if you are under 13, or if keeping the account risks the safety of other members. For anything short of a serious violation we will tell you first and give you a chance to respond. Serious violations — hate speech, sexual content involving a minor, threats — can be immediate.

The sections that should outlive the account do: your content licence as limited above, the health disclaimer, the warranty disclaimer, the liability limit, and governing law.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, and the courts of Bangkok have jurisdiction over any dispute. The clubs are based in Bangkok, which is why. If you live somewhere else, you keep the protection of any mandatory law of your own country, and you may be able to bring a claim locally.

Before anything formal, please email logan@getedufit.app. Most things can be sorted out in one message.
